You do not....

have to be a member of the MG Car Club to join us on this trip. This is an outing for people who would like to take their classic sports car on a trip along with others that enjoy the same thing.

As usual....

you will make arrangements to meet with other travelers for the first leg of the trip. It is recommended that you leave the Denver area on Friday afternoon, September 6, 2002. Travel to Salida Colorado where we will spend the first night. It is possible to leave on Saturday morning very early and meet the group in Salida or catch them along the route.

On Saturday morning, after breakfast, we will head West over Monarch pass on our way to Moab Utah. We will travel through Gunnison and take the route along the North side of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Our plan is to picnic along the way so have your supplies before we leave Salida. We will pass through Grand Junction where we will pick up Interstate 80. From there we will travel West to the Castle Canyon exit and proceed to Moab.

We will spend Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights in Moab. What we do there is up to you and others in the group that would like to do what you do. Some visit Canyon Lands and Arches National Park. Some like to drive and some like to hike. Some like to golf. We usually walk into town in the evening to eat and/or party. It is up to you.

On Tuesday morning, usually quite early, we get together for our trip back to the Denver area. The usual route is the most direct, on Interstate 80.
